Mae Among the Stars

Mae Jemison, the first African American woman in space, dreamed of becoming an astronaut. Her parents found every book about space in the library because “if you dream it, believe in it, and work hard for it, anything is possible.”

Some doubted her, but she held on to her dream. With beautiful illustrations, we see young Mae’s dream come true as she travels on the Endeavour.
