Write Letters to Our Troops

Kids can write a letter or draw a picture to send to military overseas. Letters are distributed to deployed troops, veterans, new recruits & wounded heroes.

Suggested topics/tips

  • Start with a generic salutation like “Dear hero” or “Dear brave one”

  • Express thanks for their service

  • Avoid politics

  • Share a little about your interests - sports, the weather, movies, music, etc

  • Do not include your address or last name

  • No glitter or confetti

  • Send multiple letters together in the same envelope or box

  • Don’t put cards or letters in individual envelopes - they need to be screened by the organization before being sent to troops
