Vanilla Ice Cream in a Bag

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsps granulated sugar

  • 1 cup half & half

  • 1/2 cup rock salt

  • Ice cubes (enough to fill a gallon-sized plastic bag)

  • 1 pint-sized plastic bag

  • 1 gallon-sized plastic bag

  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Combine the sugar, half and half and vanilla in a pint-size bag, removing the air and sealing tightly

  2. Place the rock salt and ice in a gallon-size plastic bag.

  3. Place the sealed, pint-size bag with the ice cream ingredients inside the gallon bag and seal.

  4. Shake until ice cream hardens (about 5 minutes)
