Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated pie dough

  • Strawberry jam

  • Jumbo heart sprinkles (we like these)

  • Heart cookie cutter (we like this set)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Unroll the pie crust.

  3. Use cookie cutter to cut out hearts. Lay them out on a baking pan lined with parchment paper.

  4. Place a heaping teaspoon of jam on top of each heart.

  5. Place another cut out heart on top the one with jam, crimp the edges with a fork to seal.

  6. Cut a tiny slit with a knife in the middle of each heart so that the pie can vent.

  7. Optional: If the pie dough gets too soft, refrigerated for about 20 minutes before baking.

  8. Bake for about 20 minutes, until golden.

  9. After pies have cooled, use a dab of jam to add one jumbo heart sprinkle in the center of each pie.
