Thumbprint Flower Pots

Materials

• 4 inch terra cotta pots (like these)

• Acrylic paints (like these)

• Black paint marker (like this one)

Directions

1. To make a butterfly: Use a black paint marker to draw the butterfly body on the outside of the pot.

2. Squeeze a dime-sized amount of desired paint color out on a paper plate. Dip thumb in desired paint color.

3. Press painted thumb onto pot four times to create butterfly wings.

4. Repeat these steps to paint colorful butterflies all the way around the outside of the pot.

5. Allow paint to dry completely.
